Mystery Yarn

I got this yarn at a thrift shop, and started using it for a scarf for a friends birthday in November. Of course I'm running out, half way through the project, and of course there was no ball band on the yarn. can someone help me identify this yarn, so I can find another skein, and finish the scarf before the November 5th birthday!?

I saw your request for help on the Knitlist listserve. My apologies, but I have no clue as to what it could be. However, you might try taking it into your LYS or Michael's and see if there is something similar on the shelves. If not I'm sure your LYS staff would be more than helpful in identifying it. Good luck on your search.

I have no idea, but perhaps you could find a complimentary yarn, and add that to each end? The fuzziness of the yarn should hide the picked up stitches from the cast on end!

Sorry, too. This happened to me once and I bought a skein of yarn that complimented it and added it to each end.

Thank you for the compliment on the Black Widow!

Just keep knitting lace and in a year or so, you'll feel more than adaquate to tackle it.
